In 2011 the Hotchkiss Brain Institute (HBI) launched its International Strategy thanks to the Rebecca Hotchkiss International Scholar Exchange (RHISE) Program. The overarching goal of the HBI’s International Strategy is to elevate the HBI’s research and education programs to a level of global excellence through meaningful international collaborations.

RHISE Program – Faculty Research Visits
These visits are intended to augment the Faculty member’s research program in a way that could not be achieved in their home institution and provide a unique opportunity for collaboration.
RHISE Program – Trainee Research Visits
These visits are intended to augment the applicant’s training experience in a way that could not be achieved in their home institution and provide a unique opportunity for collaboration.
HBI International Strategy Symposium and Conference Grant
This program is intended to support/sponsor symposia at international conferences or other events deemed of benefit to its members and trainees in order to help raise international awareness of the Hotchkiss Brain Institute.
HBI International Strategy Grant for International Scientists Attending Local Meetings
This program is intended to support short satellite visits to the HBI by international Faculty-level scientists and clinician-scientists attending conferences being held locally.
Trainee Scholarships
A wide variety of trainee scholarships are available - Postdoctoral, Graduate and Undergrad.
