HBI Summer Student Symposium

Mark your calendars! The 2024 HBI Summer Student Symposium is scheduled for Monday, August 19, 2024

Presented by the HBITO, the HBI Summer Student Symposium provides an excellent opportunity for students to present their summer research findings, connect with peers, and engage in enriching discussions with field experts. The symposium will feature keynote speakers, poster and oral presentations, and a data blitz. 

Date: Monday, August 19, 2024 | 8 am to 5:30 pm  
Location: HRIC Atrium, Theatre 4, Libin Theatre
Keynote speakers: Dr. Darren Clark, PhD, Assistant Professor, Departments of Clinical Neurosciences & Radiology. Dr. Zelma Kiss, MD/PhD, Professor, Departments of Clinical Neurosciences & Psychiatry.

We encourage all undergraduate students doing a research project under the supervision of an HBI member to register in the symposium and submit an abstract!

Symposium Registration

Register for the 2024 HBI Summer Student Symposium. 

Please register regardless of whether you have submitted an abstract or not. 

Summer students are allowed to attend symposia at multiple institutes but can only present an oral presentation at one. For details on the other symposia, click here.
 
The deadline for registration is Friday, August 2nd at 11:59 pm.

Abstract Submission

Submit an abstract for the 2024 HBI Summer Student Symposium

Students will have the opportunity to present either a poster or an oral presentation. Spots for oral presentations and data blitz are limited. Please note that each student is allowed to present an oral presentation at only ONE symposium. This policy has been put in place to ensure that every individual has a chance to share their work and ideas.

The deadline for abstract submission is Friday, August 2nd at 11:59 pm.
