HBI International Strategy Grant for International Scientists Attending Local Conferences

Rationale: This program is intended to support short satellite visits to the HBI by international Faculty-level scientists and clinician-scientists attending conferences being held locally eg. Banff.

Eligibility:

  • The host must be a full member of Hotchkiss Brain Institute.
  • The visitor should be from a Research Institution outside of North America.
  • The international Faculty visitor should give a seminar advertised to and deemed of interest to faculty and trainees of the Hotchkiss Brain Institute.

Use of Funds:

  • Funds are provided for accommodation, local travel and food.
  • The maximum amount available is $1,000.00* CAD.

Application Process:

  • Applications are to be submitted to Travis Kerr at travis.kerr@ucalgary.ca
  • Applications can be submitted at any time during the year but must be at least 4 weeks in advance of the visit.
  • Applications will be assessed by the HBI International Strategy Committee. Successful applicants will receive a Notice of Award from the Hotchkiss Brain Institute International Strategy Director with further instructions for the transfer/collection of funds.
