Areas of Research
(1) Objective quantification of of neurologic deficits. We have developed a small device capable or rapidly and objectively quantifying the force of the Tibialis Anterior. We expect to find utility in several conditions including MS, ALS, Spinal Cord Injury, and peripheral neuropathies. (2) Symptom management in MS. As part of a collaboration between HBI memebrs and the U of C Human Performance Lab, we recently completed a study looking at the myriad mechanisms of fatigue in MS using a novel cycle ergometer.
