Trained as a demographer and a social network analyst, Dr. Godley studies the effects of social class and gender on health outcomes such as obesity and eating disorders. She uses population-level survey data to investigate the social patterning of attitudes and behaviors related to diet and exercise. In a second strand of research, Dr. Godley uses social network analysis to examine interprofessional practice in the fields of obesity and eating disorders, and to evaluate interdisciplinary research teams. Dr. Godley has worked closely with the HBI to examine professional interactions and interdisciplinary collaboration among HBI members.  Dr. Godley has been the Chair of the Conjoint Faculties Research Ethics Board since 2019.
