HBI Postdoctoral & PhD Researcher of the Year Award

Top scoring candidates will be formally recognized by the HBI and invited to present their research at the institute's annual Research Day.

Guidelines & eligibility:

• To nominate an individual, submit the nominee’s full name and a list of all authored publications under consideration from the current competition's calendar year (ex. 2023 competition deadline is January 31, 2024.  Papers published January - December 2023 are eligible).
• Attach PDFs of first author papers to the nomination.  
• All publications under consideration must have the HBI listed in the address portion of the paper.
• Nominees must be a postdoctoral fellow or PhD student under the supervision of a HBI full member.
• Review papers will not be considered.
• All applications will be reviewed by the HBI Education Director. 
• Award recipients will be asked to present their research at HBI's annual Research Day.

Scoring Criteria: Each publication will be given a score based on impact factor and authorship order. The additive score across publications will be the candidate's final tally.
