Hotchkiss Brain Institute COVID-19 Dependent Care Bursary
Funding under this program is intended to benefit Hotchkiss Brain Institute graduate students and postdoctoral fellows to aid in fully participating in their assigned work duties during the covid pandemic. This award is designed to alleviate the financial burdens of childcare during school or daycare closures during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Field of Study: Neuroscience and Mental Health
Eligibility:
- A postdoctoral fellow or full-time student in a graduate program under the supervision of a full member of the HBI.
- A postdoctoral fellow or full-time graduate students with dependent care that is experiencing temporary closures of existing supportive care (i.e. schools/daycare).
Value: Up to $500. This program is subject to the availability of funds.
Number: Variable; subject to availability of funds.
Use of Funds:
- One award of up to $500 will be awarded per applicant per academic year, subject to the availability of funds. Applications will be considered as first come, first serve. First time applicants will have priority.
- The subsidy will be disbursed upon application approval. 3rd party receipts for costs-associated with dependent care for third party dependent care will be required to be submitted after care is acquired.
Please note: Third party childcare or dependent care receipts must:
- Contain the caregiver's name and phone number of the company or person
- Have the dependent's family name of the receipt
- The amount paid.
