The Next Step Program – Postdoc Career Support Onboarding Questionnaire

The REALISE program is committed to supporting postdocs as they pursue academic careers. This questionnaire will help us better understand your career goals, current stage of preparation, and the types of support that would be most valuable to you. Your responses will help us tailor programming, resources, and opportunities to meet the needs of postdocs at different stages of their academic career journey.

Commitment to the Program

The Next Step is a structured, interactive program that requires an ongoing commitment to participate in monthly sessions and complete practical preparation activities. Participants should expect to spend approximately 5–6 hours per month, with individual preparation time varying depending on your stage of preparation and prior experience. If you are applying for academic positions this year or next year, participation in the assignments and peer-review activities is expected.
