HBI PhD Research Excellence Graduate Scholarship
This award reflects the commitment of the Hotchkiss Brain Institute (HBI) to support excellent graduate students at distinct stages of their career. The award aims to recognize PhD students based on demonstrated research success in their graduate program.
Eligibility: Open to students registered full-time in the MDNS PhD program of the Faculty of Graduate Studies who are under the supervisor of a full time member of the HBI. For co-supervised students, the primary supervisor must be a full HBI Member.
Applicants must not have received more than $10,000 in scholarship funding throughout their graduate students.
If successful, applicants must take up award funding within 6 months of application deadline date.
Value: $10,000/year
Number of awards available: Dependent on budget.
Duration: One year
Terms: Students holding this award are expected to apply for external awards or grants for which they are eligible, including those from provincial or national agencies.
Applicants will be selected from those who apply during the HBI Fall Education competition who select the award and who show a wrecord of ongoing and exceptional research performance. Academic transcripts are not considered as part of this award.
Reference letters should speak to research performance.
