My research focuses on the epidemiology of psychiatric and cognitive comorbidities and outcomes in the critically ill. My broader interests include the relationship between psychiatric comorbidities and chronic neurological conditions, such as epilepsy and multiple sclerosis. My methodological interests include systematic reviews and meta-analyses, validation studies, and the design and analysis of longtitudinal and cross-sectional epidemiologic studies. I am the co-instructor for the Advanced Epidemiology graduate course (MDCH 740) offered in the Department of Community Health Sciences.
