Research activities

My research and clinical activities during my postdoctoral fellowship focused on identification of children with specific learning disabilities using a neuropsychological framework for differential diagnosis. Publication during my postdoctoral fellowship was primarily focused on psychosocial and adaptive skill deficits in children with varying cognitive profiles as identified by standardized cognitive assessments.

Since becoming a member of the faculty at Werklund, I have partnered with folks in HBI & CSM to develop an initiative in Educational Neuroscience. Our research focuses on brain development and education, identification of neuromyths held by educators and how these neuromyths impact instructional practices, and using neurostimulation to treat learning disabilities in children with reading disorders.
