Dr. Steven Casha's academic interests center on developing new treatments for spinal cord injury. He runs an active research laboratory focused on the investigation of neuroprotective strategies related to cell death mechanisms after spinal cord injury. Dr. Casha is also involved in several clinical research projects related to spinal cord injury and spine surgery.
