Activities

I am a pain clinician working in a large multidisciplinary team. My patient population primarily suffers from 1) neuromusculoskeletal pain and/or 2) post-traumatic headache, and my patients drive the majority of my research questions.

I am extensively involved in teaching for medical students, residents, and practicing professionals, and I am a member of the Southern Alberta Primary Care Research Network. My research interests are related to opioids, post-traumatic headache, and the relationships between chronic pain and mental health. I am currently part of a research team with funding from the HBI: “Use of probenecid to mitigate withdrawal symptoms during opioid tapering: a pilot study”, Lori Montgomery, Tuan Trang, Joyce Cote, Sam Parmiter, Chad Bousman, Michael Hill.
