Rebecca Hotchkiss International Scholar Exchange

Rebecca Hotchkiss International Scholar Exchange (RHISE) Program

The Rebecca Hotchkiss International Scholar Exchange (RHISE) Program was established to develop new interactions and strengthen those that already exist between the Hotchkiss Brain Institute (HBI) and international centres of neuroscience research and training excellence. This program allows the HBI to bring international neuroscience leaders and trainees from program partner institutes to Calgary for in-depth and intensive research residencies up to three months in length. Additionally, HBI faculty members, fellows and students may travel outside of North America to exchange ideas with and learn from the best neuroscientists, again for periods of up to three months.

The RHISE Program is a unique platform to build partnerships with other neuroscience institutes from around the globe whose research interests complement those of the HBI. As our relationships with identified partner institutes develop and evolve, we envision that an equilibrium of mutually-beneficial exchanges will be established between the institutes.

Through interactions with visiting scholars and numerous opportunities to learn new techniques and methods from the world’s best and brightest, the RHISE Program will help to establish a unique learning environment for all HBI members and trainees. Applications are now invited for funding to support collaborative activities in the broad fields of neuroscience and mental health.
