2010 HBI Summer Student Symposium
The 2010 HBI Summer Student Symposium was held on August 20th at the University of Calgary. 21 students from the HBI and CCBN at the University of Lethbridge presented their research projects. Talks covered diverse topics including neurological disorder, visual system, seizure, enteric nervous system, neonatal spinal cord, neural organization of behavior, memory, development, and imaging and technology.Talks were of uniformly high standards and the four judges had a difficult time to arrive at the top three presentations:
1st: Peter Hong
2nd: Rachel Wang
3rd: Rebecca Friesen
Honourable mention: Brittany Carr and Tom Seredynski
Many thanks go to Nichole Schmold, Amanda Kentner and Bill Stell for organizing the symposium, to the judges Rob Cantrup, Gerlinde Metz, Stan Nakanishi, and Jackie Wamsteeker and to ANNAE for providing financial support.
